The PFH Story: How The Best Pilates Socks Came To Be

Pilates For Hotties (PFH) is more than just a brand; it's a passion project born from a little bit of sliding, a worldwide lockdown, and a yearning for something more. Founded by Lauren Skeoch, PFH officially launched its first pilates grip sock collection in 2023 after initially launching in 2022 with the intention of being an online community to share pilates workout tutorials and tips.

Lauren built PFH with a singular mission: to make the best pilates socks at the best price point on the market, which boosts your confidence and elevates your pilates routine.

How It All Began: The Pandemic Pivot

PFH's roots trace back to 2020, when the world was in lockdown. Determined to maintain her fitness regimen despite being stuck inside her Florida home, Lauren searched on YouTube for an exercise that was challenging to do without a lot of equipment and with a limited space. After coming across a video from Move With Nicole, Lauren discovered wall and mat Pilates.

Lauren dove into it, quickly mastering the techniques and falling in love with the core-sculpting discipline. The combination of her passion for pilates and the inspiration of Move With Nicole led her to create Pilates For Hotties as a way to share her journey, provide accessible tips, and build a supportive community for other women looking to embrace Pilates. From there, PFH was born.

Suddenly, She was Designing Grip Socks

Not long after, the lockdown was lifted, and the true catalyst for wanting to create the best pilates socks at the best prices came quickly after. Lauren, a newly home-grown Pilates Princess, attended her first reformer class at a Pilates studio near her house. Having only trained on the mat at home, she was entirely unfamiliar with the specialised reformer equipment used in the studio. Without the knowledge of the equipment or accessories that were needed, she showed up to class wearing regular ankle-length socks.

While the other girls were keeping up with the teacher, Lauren was struggling. With the grip, she slid with every move. It didn’t take long for her to recognise how unsafe and frustrating it was to lack the proper gear. Therefore, she made a plan. Before the next class, she was going to find and purchase the best pilates socks and accessories she could. Tapping into her aunt’s expertise as a devoted Pilates Princess, Lauren quickly sought her recommendations for the most popular pilates accessory brands, but after wasting a lot of time and money on only sub-par grip socks and accessories, Lauren felt defeated.

Driven by this feeling, Lauren channelled her frustration into action. By combining her passion for Pilates, her desire for the best pilates socks, and her commitment to the pilates community, the PFH apparel line was born!

The PFH journey was by far a straight shot. Nevertheless, there is still much to be done and much to accomplish. Lauren’s goal is to continue expanding the PFH brand with new designs and even better prices (if that’s even possible)!

Currently, PFH offers top-notch activewear and accessories designed to withstand your toughest workouts while ensuring you look and feel incredible. The brand’s evolution was fueled by the idea that you should never have to sacrifice style for stability.
